Defaults: 4/4 → 1 layer at 10–12 mm; 6/4 → up to 2 layers at 10–12 mm; 8/4 → up to 3 layers at 10–12 mm. A single resawn layer has one finished thickness, so 10 mm and 12 mm blanks cannot share the same layer. 5/4 remains an allowed warehouse thickness but has no assumed resaw capability by default.
