The Edge began with Kirtley asking for a scraper that could handle both the bowl and the bench. After 54 design iterations, this is how we use it.

Divide the dough
Once the dough is on the bench, turn to the straight edge to divide it into portions. There is no need to put down your bowl scraper and pick up a separate bench tool.
Shape the loaf
Use The Edge to guide the dough as you shape your loaf, then gather the scraps from the bench. We refined the grip and edges through repeated prototypes to make those movements feel comfortable in the hand.
